About Us,
WHO WE ARE
Bold Child Uganda Foundation is a community-rooted nonprofit organization focused on trauma-informed parenting and emotional wellness. We work to strengthen families by addressing the effects of trauma, harmful parenting practices, and emotional disconnection that affect children’s development and well-being.
Through our three core programs—parent-led education, trauma-informed parenting empowerment, and creative arts child protection—we equip parents and caregivers with practical skills, support healing, and create safe spaces for children to learn, express themselves, and thrive. Our work restores connection in families by replacing fear with understanding, and broken relationships with trust and emotional safety. We exist to build stronger bonds, healthier homes, and resilient communities where every child can grow up safe, loved, and supported
OUR MODEL
Our model is a community-driven, family-centered approach designed to strengthen parenting, restore relationships, and promote emotional well-being for children and caregivers in Uganda. We work at the intersection of education, empowerment, and protection to address the root causes of family breakdown and childhood trauma.
"We help families move from cycles of stress and disconnection to cycles of safety, trust, and healthy relationships."
We equip parents and caregivers with trauma-informed parenting skills, support children’s learning through parent-led education, and use creative arts as a safe and engaging tool for healing and child protection. By embedding our work within communities, we build trusted local support systems that foster strong family bonds, emotional resilience, and long-term well-being for children.
